I need to replace my brake discs but i have been told that my G has uprated brake discs
as it is a Brabus conversion (done in 1993) and the original discs are not "vented"
My questions are.......

Any ideas where i can get Brabus discs from?

Would i be able to put original discs back on? Or discs from a later model (G500?)
The guy i have working on my G doesn't really know as he can't get hold of a set of discs to try them out, and i don't want to order a set only to find out they are no good does anyone have the exact dimensions of original discs?

Can i get discs made from anywhere?

I have emailed Brabus countless times all to no avail I have a friend going to Germany in a couple of weeks who is willing to just knock on the door and ask for a set (not sure how far that'll get me / him)
I really wanna get this sorted out ASAP and keep hitting brick walls (The only headway i managed to make was via PPerfect - he said they may of come from a Scooby but they seem close but no cigar)
Help me Gkenobie(s) you are my only hope......

try alcon racing in staffordshire (http://www.alcon.co.uk/) their website says they supply brabus (among others) so it might be that your brakes originated right here in the UK!

Are the Brabus dealers in UK any good. They always have a full page ad in the magazines? There is one in Medway 01634388887. Give 'em heaps

I think you find there are sourced from the UK. I was told that the Subaru WRX disc's are used. Sourced from that company in Oxford who make the rally car Pro ? something or other. Howard help me out here.

Well i got a reply from Brabus !! -  and here it is......
"Dear Mr. X , thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately the history of your g-model is no more in our system deposited due to the age. Therefore we can determine ncht exactly, which brake assembly has your vehicle. However for quite some time only one brake assembly for the g-model of us (only front axle) is offered. If you send us a digital photo of your brake assembly, we can determine also the exact version. We have also some official BRABUS dealers in Great Britain, so that you can buy the spare parts also there. Please you communicate its UK post office code to us, so that we can call you the appropriate dealer, so far desired. Yours sincerely, BRABUS on behalf Nile Jacoby Assistant ton of Head OF export"

Was really surprised to get an answer ( i did have to buy a German mate a beer for the translation - also attached my original factory certificate to prove it came from them)
So i reckon it's off with the wheel (again) and out with the camera - i think i'm gonna see if i can get this straight from Germany seeing as when i've managed to phone Brabus UK I can hear eyes rolling and glazing over
Will keep you posted....... (anyone know of the exact dim's of the discs from a normal 463? or G500?)
thanks

I checked the epc to see whether it would help . The part no's. for all the disks on the early 463s is A 463 421 00 12 . That's for the g320, 36, 300 turbodiesel, 350 also 500g(93). I couldn't tell whether any of these were the vented type you describe. The epc didn't describe them as such. So I don't think MB will be able to help. You could return to a starndard setup but that would be a last ditch effort , I would pursue your contact at Brabus
