if you need a complete re-spray there is a guy in Park royal whos great. all he does is mercs and been in many magazines. Hes just done some paint work on mine, well pleased. His number is 0208 965 2095 his name is Phil Witney and he has done G-wagens over the years.

I would guess £1500-£2000 for a proper job.

I had a price of £1500 to change a SWB 463 from that light blue/grey colour to deep grey/ black. This was into the doors, bumpers and arches colour coded, but not the engine bay. The price included minor dent repair and treatment of rust patches also. This was from a very good spray shop.

I did not purchase that particular G. Bought a black one instead.

Re: respray

I did it myself with synthetic coach paint!

I sprayed it from met blue to gloss black with fantastic results! I Had never sprayed before bought myself a compressor and drapper spray gun and had a practice on an old one and did it in and indoor horse arena in the baking heat and got fantastic results!!!

I sprayed all the primer and that in the cold (which you arn't supposed to do :S) but can out great and no bubbles pealing etc. Mind you it took a good week or so to sand it etc!

It cost me about 300 including compressor/gun and paint etc (compressor was bought off a friend very cheap lol)

so that maybe a thought?

I can't remember if I have an finished ones but if I don't I'll take a few of it now although it's raining so won't give you to proper view if you get me?

Re: respray

Hey,

I had alook about and couldn't find the ones when it was being sprayed the final colour in the horse arena but found the early stages and priming and took a few photos of it now (again it is wet though!)

Here is a link to the primer album:

one thing I will say is that the reflection is very good but not as deep as a normal paint job

hope that helps!
Joe
