Rear diff lock problem
I need some advice.
300GES 1992.
My rear diff lock doesn't seem to work. All was well until I decided to renew the fluid. The front one is fine. Any ideas most welcome.

obvious question, have you bled it out properley?
what method did you use to check the diff lock function?
Just the indicator light by the switch.
As I say was working perfectly before fluid change.
try jacking up 1 rear wheel, engage diff lock, then turn raised wheel by hand. make sure car is securley chocked, engine off & out of gear with park brake off. this will determine if the lock is or isnot working & also check the function of the light as long as the ignition is turned on.

I'll try that but how does the diff lock work. How is the hydraulic pressure achieved to activate the diff lock cylinder?
do you have levers to pull to engage diff locks or buttons to press?
It has 3 buttons on the centre dash.

I have used an easibleed to change the fluid. There were no bubbles in the fluid coming out of the bleed nipples. I let it run through for maybe 1 pint.
Any other ideas?
