Hi to all - from 'ooop norf'
I've dropped in the forum a few times over the past year or so but decided now's the time to join :)
I've been a maniac Range Rover (Classic) fan for many years - I still own the original Velar prototype - and after getting utterly disspointed with modern RR's. About eigteen months ago a friend suggested a G as an alternative - still has the charm of the original Rangie but with that wonderful build quality.
So, I bought my first - a Silver SWB G270CDi from a lovely chap down in Cambdridgeshire - and both the wife and I fell in love with it's charm - the first 4wd we've had that actually 'drove' well!
Then the Missus thought she wanted to keep it - so I ended up looking at a RHD G500 and a LHD SWB G400CDi at Wheelhouse.
The G400 came home and has done nearly 15,000miles in a year :). The G270CDi went off to Nik Wheelhouse earlier in the year - and we've missed it so much, last week we bought another G400 - this time a LWB.
Still learning about these fantastic vehicles - and still wondering why everyone says to be cautious about the G400 - in my experience they're fantastic.
I would love any advice on where to get parts - still struggling trying to get the RHD headlights with the correct adjusters built in.
Also intrigued to read that you can modify the speedo's to be MPH - any advice would be much appreciated.
Anyway, many thanks for a great site - keep up the great work - and hopefully meet people at one of the club meets? Are there any? Where do I send my membership subs? Did anything get sorted with PayPal?
Best wishes from North Yorkshire

Hello,
Very warm welcome to the forum, just to let you know gwo2tug is doing very well,I have been driving her since august now and i am enjoying every minutes of it...but i was offered a rhd G500 and tug might have to go.....
keep in touch
Thank you :)
Ah, that's the same reason we sold her :(
The wife wanted to use 'Tug' when the bad weather came - so I bought the G400 SWB for myself. When the good weather came, one of them had to go - and I couldn't bear to part with the G400!
She was in 'perfect' condition when we sold her - Colin Lamb (thanks for the memory jog!) had really cared for her - serviced on the nose - oil change every 5,000 miles - valeted every week!
Glad she's being enjoyed and hope she goes to a good home :)
