I want more!
I know its greedy andI know I am behaving like a 17 year old looking for "go faster stripes" but does anyone know if a little more mid range torque is possible from my 300TD?I have seen various ads to upgrade 270.s and 400.s but nothing for mine.
Brabus and others do a chip for the 300TD.
upsolute chips, phone them, ive mentioned them before, do great jobs on diesel vans etc, search them on the internet.

Try search for Dragon Chips.
Not silly money like some. Don't know if the do Merc stuff but they do VAG applictaions.
They don't increase boost but alter the injector duration.
my brother had his old van done by ccc tech, speak to them, as they might be able to do that bit more for you, his new Transporter which is the 174bhp (astonishingly quick for a van) can be taken up to 235BHP!!!! which i find incredible. you can have a switch set up, like we had on the motorbikes, to revert to different settings, so you could switch it back for small town driving etc.

Chips are not the only option. Re-mapping the ECU is found to be better right across the torque range, a little more expensive yes, but generally better.
I have had it chipped and remapped by ADM from Northants.Very reasonable price really knowledgable guy also very pleasant and accomodating.Its very good putting out about 215to220 bhp. :twisted:
Chipped and re-mapped???. Why both. Any way seems you have squezzed another 35-40Hp, Whats the fuel economy like now.

Thats what comes of using old fish shop oil instead of diesel is nt it. :P

Overall impressions.
1,More low down power,and much earlier turbo boost,you can really hear it roar.
2.Tows a trailer with a sick L*** r**er on it much better,M6 junction 15 to keele services,Long hill! 70 mph without dropping a gear.
3.Fuel economy seems the same if not slightly better.
4.It would appear to have been contributary to the demise of my transfer box!!!!!!!!! The vibration I hoped was just mounts is inside.New box en route from MB Germany.
The power is nice but I guess designers built components to suit output as standard.
