need help with my speedo

it doesnt rain but it pours.

i pulled over as i couldnt find my phone and when i pulled out again my speedo has started ticking, just what you need when ure stressed out.

does anyone know any quick fixes or is it the full job.

im going to put the g on the ramp tomorrow to have a look, i kno the speedo goes into the transfer box does anyone have pictures of this so i know exactly what im looking at. also the ticking sound is from my dask, should i open that up and see if its just a lose connection there?

Tom,
I have had this in an ordinary motor, sounds like the square shaped end of the cable is damaged/broken/no longer engaging properly in back of speedo, it is a replacment job most probably.

i was driving along this morning and the clicking stopped nd the speedo worked fine untill this afternoon.

can anyone give me instructions on how to get into the back of the speedo dial so i can have a look.

You have two screws either side of the back of the black plastic dashboard piece where the clocks are. Just remove them and the back of that can be removed so that you see where the cable of the sppedo connects.
