Can anyone confirm whether you can lift a G270 CDi either by a body or suspension lift, or both and by how much ?

Also could I fit 285x75x16 tyres to it ?

I got some negative feedback from one source, regarding the ESP (stability program), so I just want a second opinion please ?

Re: G270 CDi

I would lift only the body, this allows you to fit larger tyres without affecting prop geometry. The new G's are setup in a way that its uses the factory fitted tyre/wheel combination.

My first thoughts are what are you fitting, road or off road tyres. If its just road you want then they will fit but will rub on the insdie of the wheel arch liners if you take it off road on full articulation. Piggysims has a 00CDI with BFG muds fitted, you would need to speak to him to see hoe his 400 perfoms on road with these larger tyres fitted.

Thanks for that Peter, as I suspected. Change of plan then, ditch the search for a 270CDi and go for a 300DT !

Re: G270 CDi

Hi Gavin, I'm running 285/75r16 and they only seemed to rub on the back until i fitted longer bump stops and now its fine but a lift will be done in the next couple of weeks.

Has anybody done a body lift on a late G?

Re: G270 CDi

Thanks for that Richard, I spoke with ORC in Stuttgart and they recommended that you only fit the extended springs (40mm) and that you cannot fit neither a body lift, nor 285x75x16" tyres, due to problems with the ESP (stability program). I wish to fit all three, therefore that's why I have changed my vehicle choice.
