What would be you first mods? It's for my wife's birthday (July...that's her birthday not her name :wink: ) and I'd like to tidy it up for her (secretly) before I hand over the keys!

What Wheels and Tyres, its going to be her day to day car?
Interior, and cheap but effective mods?
How much for a respray and it's it worth it?

any other thoughts.

This is a first car resoration for me, and I may well have bought a complete dog...so any support would be greatly apreciated.

Hi,

Not a bad looking G as it is!!...

I'd try clear lens(s!!) upgrade. Cheap and IMO makes a tremendous difference.

Wouldn't bother with a respray. She looks fresh enough.

If you go down the alloy wheel route, be very careful on projecting outside your bodywork. Your model does not have the optional (+ expensive retro fit) rubber wheelarches, so you are severely limited on wheel choice to avoid this problem.

Others on here will advise - try placing a question on "wheels" banner.

Good luck with her, the car that is, not the wife. Remember if she dosen't like it, you get to play!! :D

Mirrors off of a VW transporter will give it a later look as well( similar to the 463 mirrors), Did it to mine, looks great.
