Trailers
Hi All, some people at the AGM were interested in my trailer and I'm sad enough to have some links to trailer web sites to give you some ideas

Thanks for the links. Very impressed with the ability to set up a “comfortable camp†in only a few minutes. Very well thought out.
I'm sad enough to go and check out the links
Hi Mark, I guess you'll get one with fred to make your night activites a little more comfortable!

this cant be a good thing ...
There is one thing that surprises me about the majority of the above trailers, all of which are supposedly purpose-built for off-road use. Most of them feature a ball & socket towing hitch. This style of hitch has seriously limited articulation and can be highly stressed or even "popped" off when negotiating undulating ground, particularly if there is an element of longitudinal twisting involved. It is very easy to exceed the relatively small angular tolerance of the hitch. It is one reason why the military use rotating ring and locking jaw hitches i.e. NATO hook. Then, not only will it tolerate the angular changes, but, if the trailer turns over, it shouldn't take the towing vehicle with it. The military have some considerable experience of towing over severe terrain which is one reason why I would always opt for a 1/2 tonne or 3/4 tonne ex-mil unit as the basis for an off-roading trailer. Somewhat cheaper too.
Indeed a very valid point , the same point was stated when some of the Clan was inspecting a offroad trailer at the AGM .

:D you could go for this one made for the G , a wide track sankey or a rapier trailer would be cheaper though .
