Re: ARB bumper

I'm afraid the old bumper has to go and a bit of fabrication has to be done for the bumper to fit(remounting of oil cooler and stuff).

Re: ARB bumper

The bumper looks great on your G.

I note that you had to have some fabrication work done to make it fit but in fact ARB did make a bar to fit the G or more particularly the 460. ARB made a number of bars for the 300GD during the Project Perentie (Military Contract) trials in Australia during 1982/83. These bars are notable for having a couple of big chain loops rather than the modest tow holes on the current range. I think it is time that we put a bit of pressure on ARB to put the bar back into its current range. I know that they did remanufacture some in the late 80's when MB Australia did another small push to sell the G in Australia (mainly 230GE's this time). Check out some of the vehicles with ARB bars on our fledgeling AGOA pages (the earlier types did not have the additional lights). They not only bolt on to the bumber fixing but also brace down on to the Sump Guard fixings.

AGOA Member Vehicles

With ARB selling to a world market these days you would think that they would make this bar available to all of us again. Send your Emails off today!
