hi all just a bit of info if anyones intrested, my g broke down on monday on my way to work  . had to be towed by the rac, after checking at the injector unit there was no fuel. so went back to the pump and found no voltage. a quick call to merv and i soon located the fuel relay i shorted out the 2 pins on the base and the pump ran (30 and 87) faced with the horror of a trip to merc i decided to open the relay, turns out mercs soldering aint that good and there was a dry joint on the fuel pump pin conectors to the pcb took me about 10 mins to solder. so if your relay goes down open it up and have a look the dry joint was really obvious worth a look rather than spending your hard earned money :D .

Cheers Simon

Re: fuel pump relay.................

relays can overheat when fuel filter blocks, something most over look on a service.
