What effects would you notice if you drove a G where the propshafts were out of balance and / or out of phase or both. Please give me the effects in the worst case scenario, i.e. completely out on both. Would affect the ride quality?

Also, how can this happen?

Re: Propshaft out of balance or out of phase or both

Well there are entire books written about the mechanics of shafts :D
It is not possible to put a shaft out of phase unless it has been dismantled and reassembled incorrectly. The position of the 2 joints is set at design stage.
It is possible to change the behaviour by altering either the horizontal or vertical angle. Common if you lift the vehicle by lengthening the springs.
Of course the easiest way to put a shaft out of balance is the physically damage it off road. Sometimes they can throw a weight.
The needle bearings can disintegrate which will have bad effect if they haven't been greased regularly

Do factory built propshafts have balancing weights put on them? If you lost a weight what would you notice when you drove the vehicle?

All shafts are balanced by placing weights at the required locations as determined by the individual shaft. Each is done but it could happen that a particular shaft required no weights.
I have never seen this done. I don't know how they are attached but I have heard that with time and maybe rust aggravating the problem they can come adrift. Presumably if the balancer didn't fix it adquately it could come off prematurely.
Do you have a problem with your g500 ? Seems a bit too new to be suffering from that problem. Start with tyres
