suspension lift
Ladies and gentlemen. If at some stage you decide to lift your G buy using new springs, you may at some date also decide to fit a winch and new bumper. This extra weight will dip the nose of your g.
Therefore this will make the truck look a little out of sync, so rather than fit taller front springs you can pack them out with the following packers from MB.
There are three different packers (buffers)
A 115 325 22 44 Number of Burls (Knobbly bits on the side of the ring) 1 (9.5mm)
A 115 325 23 44 Number of Burls 2 (14mm)
A 115 325 24 44 Number of Burls 3 (19mm)
They are fitted to the 126 S class 123 E class and a couple of other models
They are the rubber cones that hang from the chassis inside the spring. As you will appreciate if you have longer springs you should really change the cones (bump stops)
so peter,do you mean that you can safely raise the G just by using these packers?
Great info,i have looked into this in cyprus but had no luck-cheers peter.
That should do me cos the coils i got off g classcenter were great but the G sat level, whereas i wanted the "squat" stance that i like on the swb..
Only the front, as the packers are for, as mentioned, for the 126 and 123, it so happens the sprimg diameter on these are the same as the front, only, on the 460 and 463.
So you can only raise the front by 9.5mm to 19mm.
