Hi All,after fittting my ARB bumper and winch the front of my vehicle had droped about an inch!! I have ORC +40mm springs all round.

I have fitted some 19mm mercedes rubber spacers but they crush to about 10mm and don't fit all that well and make the spring lean over a bit and sometime roll out.

So do i have some alloy spacers made up(does anybody already make them?) or do I fit 3" longer springs to the front and hope it makes it the equivalent to 2"?

Any other usefull idea's?

measure the back end from ground to under side of wheel arch/extension, then measure the front. work out the difference i,e if its an inch lower, then take the fronts off and measure them get 2 new front springs made. Let the guy know the difference in height, £50 a spring. Just adding and inch on a spring is not the answer, he will work it out for you allowing compression.

contact tony on Tony@tbaskil.co.uk and he will give you the guys details who makes them.

Hi All, would anyone know or like to guess how heavy a G wagen front axle is? would it be about 200kg?

Do you have one out? Take 3 bathroom scales, one under each end and the third under the pinion flange. The just add up...and please share your findings with us here.
Curious now :?

No not yet! :?
In order to order new springs I weighed the front of my G but need to take off the weight of the axle to give me the sprung weight need to be carried by the new springs.
