Rear discs on w460?
Anyone here modified the rear of a 460 to discs?
Heard it had been done and just wondered if it can be done with off-the-shelf parts instead of unique items, which would be hard to source come replacement or breakages.
I,d be interested in this as well.
I think it cost the best part of a grand in parts alone, and it excellent for on-road driving but a bad idea for off-road driving

Really need to do two: One for fiddle brakes(offroad), the other as part of a 460 upgrade to get the towing weight upgrated to 3500kg.
Do you know who did these conversions?
I think I saw it in this forum... Bill Moss, perhaps?
I think the G-centre in Holland has done a few
i've been thinking about this as drums fill with mud off road and result in lack of hand brake and rear brakes, i am planing on using front discs posibly machined down a little, calipers will be wilwood or rover 800 rears, should be less than £400 with all new bits less than £100 with second hand calipers
tony baskill , our membership secretary is making a new off roader, 463, and he has disk on the rear from a nissan or something, looks great, it might be an idea to e mail him.
I had a conversion to discs on rears from ORC, they are the Sprinter kit, not good at all off road, if you want to fit fiddle brakes find something more robust, the hand brakes on the discs are in a drum inside the disc and very small, I had nothing but trouble and continual brake failure or brake pad fire.
