viscous couplings?!......
i always thought they were viscous couplings on g's but after a discussion with dronsfields about a new one it seems they are magnetic?! any body confirm this?

Seems like a communication breakdown here some where.
Viscous couplings are just that, a coupling filled with a viscous material. These type were generally, used in both the 460 and 463 chassis.
The electric clucth type fan coupling were used only on the very earlier models but used on the 230GE's.
