Just been on to local Motor factor, no problem with dealing with Stabilus, EXCEPT that part no 2312 PW as quoted elsewhere on this forum comes up as "obsolete".
And they do not list steering bits in their books
Anyone, Mercfan ? any furthur details
Cheers
Marcus
PS
Tried Mercedes, £114.88 + Gordon = £ 135.98 = OUCH

Hus,
How was you deal on German ebay. Did the part turn up ok? Was it the 463463.... item. I couldn't quite believe it. did the box have a date of manufacture stamp?

Re: steering Damper

roly,seeing is believing my friend!!

the part turned up,unbelievable!!it is a remarkable improvement even over the upgraded version i fitted to my cabrio, which also has a late 463 damper i got from tbr.
this one was stamped with 463 463 0032 stabilus.it went straight on with no mods needed and the result is as if i have renewed all the front end components.i cannot explain the transformation.

i have posted the link to you guys as i believe in sharing resources and would like to think that all members think alike regardless.....!

£76 on my doorstep and he is still advertising them.
