sorry for the very basic question

on a 463, when I switch the diff locks on , the orange light on the dash comes on, + the orange light next to the switch comes on too followed by the red light. What does the red light on the other side of the switch mean? I assume it is just to warn the diff is engaged?

Is this correct?

Re: diff lock lights

diff lock sequence and lights first the interaxle diff lock is pressed then the rear diff then the front diff there are safety divices to stop you getting it wrong you should get a yellow /amber light for the first action and red when all systems are functioning if you switch the engine off with the diff locks engaged there is a thirty second delay before they dissengage.. can Email you the page from the manual if needed rgds

Re: diff lock lights

so the red light is there to indicate the diffs are engaged?

Thats what I thought but I just wanted confirmation.

Similar when you switch off the diffs. The yellow goes out immediately, but the red can stay on for a while indicating that it is still locked
