Can someone please help me out ?

I have a 460 SWB diesel on original steel wheels & 7.50 x 16's

I have fitted flared arches & it now looks a bit like a go-cart on steroids !

I only do araound 2~3K miles per year and this is mainly local & off road.

I want to fit a larger wheel tyre combination but without any further mods.

What is the best size to go for ?
How big can I go ?
Who is best to speak to ref supply ?

I don't want to spend a fortune on Alloys & would be quite happy with steel.

Cheers

Check this site: it will tell you all the wheels that can fit your G without further modification:

http://www.rubicon-trail.com/G-Class/wheels/start.html

As for the tyres, generally speaking and assuming that your springs are not sagging too much, the biggest you can go is probably 32x10.5R15 or 265/75R16, but if I were you, I would stay at 31X10.5R15 or 235/85R16 because otherwise the gearing is too long for your G.

Check again before committing yourself!

The recommendation I gave was for a 300 GD SWB Manual, which is the one I had. The 5-speeder has a longer top gear than the 4-speeder.
