I am having the rear bumpers on my 280 powder coated. I will have to take the plastic end caps off. They seem to be held on by black round headed bolts (they look a bit like roofing bolts). Can anyone (Jesus) tell me if these can be bought seperately, the part number and price.

thanks in advance.

Re: Bumper end caps

If the end caps are anywhere near as expensive as 463's then you will want to retain the origionals.
I priced up a pair of rear end caps last week and they were £143+vat a go!!

There was/is one 460 front for sale on e**y if you care to look.

Kind Regards
Peter

Re: Bumper end caps

Well I am replacing with stainless ones; the originals were chemy or phosphate blacked/pickled I suspect.

They are M6 x 10-12 or so; I bought a bunch of stainless screws etc from some internet company that specialised in motorbikes... so I will have stainless torx to hold rubbing strips on and carpet strips etc.. not really too expensive. Cannot remember/find the name.. bag is sitting on the storage shelf beside the rest of the inside/outside of car in the shed at home.. will try and dig.

Only bought 4 .. did not thing about doing front bumper when I started so I must get another 4.

Just found them;
http://www.a2stainless.co.uk/Cup-Square-Hex-Carriage-Bolt-DIN-603_B22LJ.... .. 20p for M6x10 ... plus nut/washer/P&P
