i am having trouble getting my petrol pump to work on my 1988 280 lwb (car been stood outside for 14 month) got pump to work ok by puting a lead straight from battery to pump and engine started no problem anyone know where the pump fuse and relay is

If you do not find it amongst the fuses, which are housed at the off-side for RHD vehicles, under the instrument panel. You will find a thin strip held on by quick release screws towards the bottom of the panel, remove this and you should see the plastic cover to the fuses.

Looking squarely from below you may notice two small screws either end of the fuses, remove these and this will give you access to lift down the fuse craddle, hope fully giving you access to the relay, amongst others.

Failing this then the relay may be mounted closer to the vent on the inner wall of the off-side wing.

You have to literally, work blind if the relay is by the inner wing, a tad awkward.

thanks for the reply mate,found relay which wouldnt work until i stripped it down and sprayed it with electrical cleaner,relay now working thanks
