mine blew week or so ago, anyway went on ebay.de picked new one up for 60 quid inc p&p and its the same as the oe fitted!!!

Mercedes replaced the steering damper on the early to mid 1980's G's with a stronger part. Don't know which one you got. The difference is that the new damper is thicker than the old one.
