460 300gd 4speed gbox with w124 turbo-d 6cyl
thinking of a 6cylinder w124 turbo-d engine transplant....how would the gearbox handle this engines power/torque?
auto, no problem, manual I reckon you should be ok.

Yep, that was me.
I knew I'd be a little late but not as bad as I was and then to make matters worse when I tried to call Marty's mobile I was missing a digit.
Tried everything eventually Fred in Scotland came to my aid (my hero) but by then it was too late and I just went for food with those that remained .
Was the tb turbo w124 Ronan's one? I wonder what happened to it? Fixwin told me about it some time ago,but I had been on to STT at the time as well. They eventually came back to say no joy on a complete kit, by then no reply from Ronan either.

Hi Mike the man who owns the 124 turbo that belonged to Ronan will be at the meeting on the 16th. he will have his 460 G' with the 617a factory turboed engine in it with him (Darren kindly note) for all to see and chat about

hi mike no never done any thing on this yet...only a thought because i had one available but the engine in the jeep has only 100k on it and is great so just gonna drive away at it for a while anyway... by the way that engine ot of the w124 car was turboed by tb turbos so wasn't the rare one you speak of...i dont even know of a w124 300d turbo exists doaes it? not sure about th meet yet. were you the one that came late last time from limerick? darren
