Anybody modified their G with other 4x4 parts?

Was at a RTV trial at the weekend and found myself under the rear of a R*Rover and it struck me that the fuel tank guard may?? fit a G with modification?? (R* Rover parts being cheap and easy to come by).

So are there any other parts from other makes that can be relatively easily modified and used on G;s??

I am aware of modifications / maintenance articles on this site, but cannot see relevant information around none standard 4x4 parts within?
