Hi all

I really could do with a couple of tyres on the front of my 89 460 280gel. the sidewalls look very poor. on the rear are some almost new fate's, i understand they are a somewhat budget brand. i will only do around 3000 miles a year in this car, and would anticipate that 99 % of that will be on tarmac. i may, however, tow a large 11'6" x 6' trailer with it with around a tonne and a half total weight.

ive done a search but have found precious little info on the 15" ones - any advice/rough costings please? cheers

Re: new 15" tyres

Hi ,

I seem to remember that Hus had a set of Yokohama tyres for sale in this size recently for reasonable money. You might be well served to give him a shout as they would be ideal for you I'd guess and maybe even at the right price too.

If it was me thats what I would do presuming he hasn't already sold them.

We are of course talking about 31/10.50x15 Yokohama GO11 tyres.

Regards,

Mike

Re: new 15" tyres

i will end up ebaying them i think :?

wasnt too fussed about selling them in the beginning ,but i thought a member in our club would benefit from a FANTASTIC set of four tires for only £200

i mean..you aint gonna get remoulds for that money, but people seem to want ......

too many tire kickers here :!:

anyway, thanks to all for their responses......

i bet a japanese suv or landy owner grabs them off ebay :!:

Re: new 15" tyres

I only asked for a couple of tyres, Hus, not 4xnew remoulds for £100.

Anyway, I've sent you a PM.

Mike, thanks for your interest.

Re: new 15" tyres

To whom it may concern,

The last set of those tyres that Huss has we sold here at work for 100.00 euro each incl VAT @ 21%. Converting that price to STG is about £67.50 ea.

By my sums buying them off him presuming they are in as new condition would be the deal of the week @ 200stg for the four of them.

If you don't need the four of them now, think long term you will again.

Regards,

Mike
