this guy is a farmer , met him in costco in Watford, he uses a walking stick, you will often see him with his elderly mother in the passenger seat , quite amusing, they live in the chalfonts

I will keep an eye out for him as I am fast becoming a taxi for my dad!

He (my dad) has a great S Class 320 CDI, but he loves my G! I did suggest he could get a 'natty' 3 door RHD Convertible AND they can do an AMG variant for him. His initial draw back was the height (my Mum finds it difficult to step up into them after her stroke) any members know of a ‘secondary step’ solution or a main step that could lower a few inches then set to it right height? The Range Rovers have a solution, but it is not transferable to a G.

I met with the owner at last! He was parked outside the bakery in CSG and I pulled up in front. His name is Roy and he is a great fan of the G, you were right, he has his mum in the car, and they both swear by the G.

This is his 3 G, and it is a petrol version (he said any diesel is agricultural). A real character, loved my G, said he had seen it a few time and we got into quite a chat. Was very interested that there was a club, however 'I don't do technology' so no PC!. He said that he got his first G back in 84? Would this have been an import?

Not necessarily... Gs were first officially imported by MBUK in 1981 so by 1984 they were selling quite well!

Well, not that cean in side, but a good valet and you would have a winner there. Has a petrol engine though.
