Is it a big job to change the oil seal on the transfer box,460? It's not much of a leak and if it's a big job I might just live with it for now.
Do I have to take the box out?
Thanks
Chris

No, it is not a major job, but it needs to be done right. After removing the prop-shaft to the relevant leaking seal, undo the flange nut, counting the turns coming off, renew the seal and re-fit flange to equal, as best, as possible, the number of counts upon removal. Lock the nut by using a puch to indent the edge of the flange nut.

Re-fit prop-shaft, correcting the transfer box oil.
