Black G(500?) Belgravia
Not generally my neck of the woods, but I was down in London applying for Austrian visa, and spotting this one made my day! I think it's a 500, 2001+ (it had exhausts running down both sides of the engine, not one side like the 99-00 models) but completely debadged. Reg Y111 ??? LHD
Nice one
hey mos, wher does that road take you onto :?:
is it the side road to a department store like Harrods :?: if so,i have seen it there too a few years ago.
the surroundings look very familiar.
please accept my ignorance, but i always get lost in the west end/city.
is harrods on sloane street
if so i have seen it :P
( smart map  )
cheers mostafa :!:
that is the one i saw a few years ago :!:
maybe you should put a gwoa gadge under his wiperblade
he might even be another brother :P
lol..yeah you never know. surprised at the cheap cars with big motors for sale in central london..just saw (on autotrader) an E430 (1999) with 61k on the clock, 1 owner full history, for £3.7k!! only if i was looking for a car...
thats worth it evwn with the fuel bills, they shift big time and blend in like sand on a beach!
Hus you sure you not confusing it with the blue one? There is almost always a dark blue (tanzanite?) RHD G500 parked on Lowndes Square.
come on tom surely an upgrade is in order...what better car after a 190 ;)
A robin Reliant - looking through other posts :P
no no maxwell, what i remember was a black lhd and very nice too!
it really highlighted my day
even though the 190 isnt my dream car the thing isnt half reliable! it even runs to the redline with ease if you flick it into sport though wont be doing that to much!
what you fellas seem to forget is my age, im getting bent over by insurance as it is!
saying that, if i havent got the time to go out drinking, would put the student grants to good use!
Tom, your clip of the sliding porche always reminds me of the last bond film. They practiced the woman in the road scene with a bmw and it rolled off a little ramp but when they came to do it in the aston it just held it's line and carried on - they had to use an onboard cannon to flip it. A hundred years of suspension design certainly shows.

What is the story on that clip Tom? I always thought that Porsches were supposed to have good cornering. Or have I been delued all these years? If so then its a darn good thing I haven't bought one and then taken it for a drive in the Alps...
Yeah,, but the Porker is doing twice the speed of the Mazda,, or is it a Nissan? No! it could be a Honda.
911's are all about seat & pants just take a spare pair.

I think its the New Audi R8 - it was on Top Gear a few weeks back
Spider1V
yeah it's the top gear
i think the short guy (cant remember his name) was chasing jeremy
well hammond i think :)
audi is 4wd porsche is 2wd and engine on the back
so no suprises on the corner :)
mustafa got it, if i remember correctly clarkson was saying how well the audi handled etc then it cuts to hammond saying 'what about this though' or the like then you get the shot i have there. it can either be taken as the audi having superior handling (it was faster when they raced) or the 911 being pure fun!
they have developed a v12 TDI audi R8 though, i would love to see/hear it!
i found it :)
that is a C2 911 ( I think its Richards own car too ) and he is 'show boating' Most tests have shown the C2 & R8 to be pretty evenly matched on a track with the Porsche being quicker off the line.
A Porsche GT3 though will spank an R8 on the track. GT3's are in a different all together from a C2. The ironic thing is Porsche pretty much own Audi anyway now they control VW.
I find modern Porsches ( in fact modern cars ) are just too 'good ' & have lost that proper seat of the pants feel , which is why my toy is a 1973 911 ..... no other cars has come close to the feel & fun of a 'pure' classic 911 8)

making audi/porsche/lambo/bugatti all the same firm and making you wonder if they really care about the competition?!
just off sloane street..
