AMG wheels on a G
Hi there guys,
I have been offered a set of genuine (i'm told) AMG wheels from an S class. The wheels measure 18"x9" and have a Et of 52. I was thinking of putting some ML type reinforced tyres on them for the G I evetually buy.
I'll run offroad tyres when laning.
Will these wheels (no tyres) fit a LWB G wagen??
The wheels have AMG on the spokes and made in Belguim on the inside spokes. Are these AMG wheels? They weigh quite a lot.
I have yet to buy a G but the deal on these wheels is really good.
Cheers
Alam
I'm sure someone else will pipe in but I think the only other MB rims that will fit are from the sprinter and then I think you need to modify the offset or something or other.....
This is correct.
Before you spend any cash on wheels, check Harald Pietschmann's fabulous compilation of GWagen wheels:
Alam get the car first..
Use the force..
Alam let me know if the wheels are available and how much please? cheers

18x9ET52 would be the AMG I for the 163 (1st gen ML Class). Highly unlikley they would have been used on a 220 (S Class) but it's technically possible.
All passenger car MB vehicles are 5x112 PCD, and since the 460/463 (G Class) is 5x130, there is a basic incompatibility with the wheels you are considering, which probably isn't worth overcoming.
The deal on the wheels should be outstanding - like £100+VAT each - there are huge quantities of them on the market at the moment for various reasons.
There are also a large number of Lorinser RS3 18x10ET55 G Class wheels available at a huge discount.
Alam,
I suggest before you purchase any rims look over Harald's website concerning Mercedes-Benz Geländewagen wheels.
