Hello all, can anyone tell me where I can seek out the most impartial advice concerning suspension upgrades. The ride on my 463 lwb is very harsh, hoping a more luxurious ride is attainable. I 've noticed the brand Koni come up alot when it comes to this kind of question, MB haven't been very helpful.
Any info welcome.
Regards

Koni does adjustable dampers for the G. Thus, you could have them fitted in the softest of settings. I have them in the hardest and I am very happy with them. But when it comes to tastes, everyone's different....

Thanks Mortinson,
Didn't realise they were adjustable, sourced some today 30-1322 for the front and 30-1323 for the rear. Is there anything else I can do to improve the ride or will this mod entirely change my very bumpy life.
Regards

Well they were originally my 3 options, however, when I've spoken to MB about this they typically wouldn't commit to the ride being any better except to say there will be "a small improvement".
I also fitted bilsteins on my 280ge which are fine for SWB but dont seem to be up to much on a LWB............
The plot thickens!

Thanks for your replies.

Please clarify as I understand there to be two different grades of Bilstein. The standard replacement model and the B6 sport version and needless to say 2 different prices as well.

Which one are we praising/knocking?

Regards,

Mike
