Photos for the factory tour are being uploaded to the Photo Gallery over the next few days.

Expect a new facelift to the front of the G as well as a "new" engine and new rims to be announced in the next few months. However unfortunately the end of production has been confirmed as 2010.... unless people start shouting again.

Argh..... if I never hear Yoda's voice again I will be a happy man! And I only had to put up with it the last few days.

Re: Factory Photos

Excellent pics, thanks for sharing. I had a Ferrari and lambo factory tour a few years back which were amazing. I'll post pics if I ever get my internet connected at home!

Re: Factory Photos

So why do they put alloys on Military G's ?

Steel rims can always be straightened with a sledge hammer and will get you home with an inner tube .. alloys seem like a bad thing when there are bits of high speed lead etc whinging around..

.. or is it just HSE .. steels are too heavy (ignoring the ride benefits here..)

Re: Factory Photos

took my son round the Lambo factory just before Christmas and they made us lock our cameras and phones away in a locker before the tour started! Great tour though - the lady cutting the leather out for seats took an offcut and stamped the Lambo emblem into it for him!

Cheers Mike

Well he did start out by saying no pictures but then they let us photograph everything anyways.... though there were large areas of the factory we didn't see such as where they applied the armour....

The only thing that he expressly said not to photograph were the photos of the new grill and wheels.

Re: Factory Photos

Steel = magnetic .. hence Alloys less likely to set off mines.

Must update my mine technology .. pressure, movement, sound, magnetism and vibration set them off (depends on type). I was thinking only of pressure sensitive.
