porsche alloys on a G.
which model porsche alloys will fit a G and are they strong enough?
rgds hus
Hi Hus
Am reliably informed by my better half that any 5 stud Porsche alloy has the correct PCD (pitch circle diameter - the arrangement of studs), but they all would need the centres machining out to fit the G hubs. Best bet would be set of Cayenne wheels - certainly strong enough, can be had in 17" diameter upwards and an assortment of widths. Got four 18" x 8" Cayenne turbo alloys with summer tyres on just waiting to go on eBay - tried fitting one on the G last weekend, and proved the information above to be true!
Rgds, Marg
porsche alloys and rock sliders.... hmmmmm
The VW Toerag is the same thing, bar the stupid front end grafted on
Loads of wheels off those on ebay
Hi , only the V10 Toe-rag wheels are 5x130 pcd,all the others models run 5/120 pcd.
Just fitted a set of 19" cayanne wheels today,I used Eibach 26mm wide porsche adaptors+a set of + 30mm long radius wheel bolts, and had them machined to 84mm in the back, that way i didnt ruin the centre bore on the cayenne wheels. 8) .
Will post some pics tomorrow.
Would like to see the pics timbo - still got the Cayenne wheels sitting doing nothing!
Pics as promised of my old 230 GE on 19" cayenne wheels.
quite amusing! takes some getting used to, but good combination of wheels and tyres, that G must corner like a...umm..RR Sport? only better
This how it usually looks on 33" kumho kl71's,as i only really use the G for offroad, but for the summer i fancied a change,to make it more useable on the road on a daily basis.
It drives really well, and feels much more positive in the bends.
The Porsche wheels look really smart - at least without the protective mud coating - thanks for the pics....... Now, shall I keep the cayenne wheels or put them on eBay? So many choices, too little time.......
i really like the cayurgh wheels, never thought it would look that good!
Huss, a pic without the mud :!:

What rims are those?
here's one with the 20" cayenne wheels, found on mobile.de
nice mos!
Nice?!?!? What a waste of a G.
It looks lifted and its got 20" wheels? Also the muffler looks really low - perhaps just a body lift?
lol..there's no agreement on taste, is there!
the lack of side steps makes it look lifted...another angle shot
lol..there's no agreement on taste, is there!
no that is the beauty of the G - it is everything to everybody.
btw - is it yours?
i'd love to say yes, but no, it's a product of idle browsing on mobile.de :/
^THEN you'd need a lift!
what it is, is that a client of mine in cyprus wants a 'different' style wheel for his G so i am looking in to the options.
thanks marg.
