280GE Head removal - your thoughts please

Hi,
I suspect a burnt valve and intend to investigate by removing head in near future. What parts / consumables / gaskets / seals etc do I require?

Are MB parts the best to get? Are gaskets etc very expensive in comparison to other third party suppliers? (Any recent prices or supplier names would be a bonus)

Please share your knowledge and experiences.
