Hi all,

Been meaning to get around to this for a while, but kept putting it on the long finger!

I have only recently been introduced to the world of G-Wagons and have since purchased 2 G-Wagons... (long story!) I had been looking around for a good project/restoration vehicle but wasn't really sure what I was looking for as I couldn't decide between SWB & LWB... so ended up with both!

The first purchase was a local G, a black SWB 460. 1987 with 152K miles. The second was a uk G, a Black LWB 460 1982

For the moment I am driving the SWB around the streets of dublin as a day to day vehicle. I am stripping down the interior of the LWB, to investigate the general condition of the floor and some repairs to sources of water leakage... mainly the wiper spindles. The intention is to make this into a G500 replica. I have sourced all the G500 body parts, the interior will be the biggest challenge. Already it has heated/electric black leather seats and some other fancy dvd/tv gadgets. These need to be tidied up a bit also a new carpet and general scrub down is required.

Here are some pics of the G's. I'll be setting up a website shortly to track the progress of work.
