I’ve had a light diesel weeping on my injectors (not from the pipe) and now it’s wet around the base of the injector, I have removed the injectors and will be sending them away to get refurbished is there a sealing washer on the bottom of the injector? And can anyone tell be the torque setting the injectors.
Engine number 60393120001247 6 cyl

Are you sure that the leak does not come from the rubber return pipes?

They are prone to leaks as they age, but replacing them is a doodle.

Torque setting for the injectors is 75 Nm or 55 lbFt according to my Haynes manual (could not find the info anywhere else).

I have changed the rubber return pipes as they were damp, then blew the injectors dry with the air line but two injectors still got fuel around the bace.
Thanks for the torque setting.
I have just sent the injectors for repair so I will keep you posted

Refurbished injectors 1992 436 300GDS

I got my refurbished injectors back and fitted them Saturday morning new injector washers and return pipes, bleed the injector lines and she started up.
Much better the firing was much crisper and pulls better and the leaking has gone no more diesel smells.
