All,

I have picked up my new Mud tyres bfg M/T 32x11.5x15 and was wondering what sort of pressure to run?

Anybody got any thoughts?.....before I start trying chaulk lines across the tread etc etc

regards Andy :?:

On road, run as standard tyre pressures.

Off road run at 30 psi all round.

Cheers Rakesh.

What would you say standard road pressures are?

Heavy off road use, BFG mud will run as low as 16psi without damage and lower but the risk is yours after that!

Regards,

Mike

PS Presuming you have standard alloys on the 280 which I think are 7jx15 did you consider the 11.5 tyre a tad too wide for this rim?

Re: New tyres......thoughts on pressure??

I received conflicting advice on this.....spoke/emails with a couple of people who said 8J was the minimum width for an 11.5 tyre.

But also met several people who drove on 11.5 or 12.5 wide tyres on 7J who said it wasn't a problem.

It came down to availability and price in the end and after first outing at the weekend have to say I am pleased with results (50 mile round trip to site and then some gentle quarry based off-roading).

Time will tell

One last point 32x11.5x15 has made my speedo read spot on according to my sat-nav...added bonus

I used to run 30 in 33x12:50 15s , also u can lower to 16 for off road, off road being rock or boggy ground, but when in mud and clay just keep them at 30psi
