G-reeting from Indonesia
Hello,
My name is Januar, live in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Bought 1989 280GE LWB Palm Green two months ago with no front axle>> I corrected it, what I mean is no front propeller shaft....silly me :-)
So far I have been repaired :
-Leaking radiator
-Fuel pump
-Power window
-Door lock
and here's the pictures of my GreenWagen :-)
I hope I could make friends here and sharing knowledge, and in couple months ahead I'm planning to swap the engine with OM617 with turbo addition.

I'm sorry, what I mean is my G doesn't have front prop shaft, the axle is fine :-)
and that frot prop shaft that I'm looking for, and from I know the price quite high and not guaranteed will free from vibration prob

Try sending a PM to Shochu, he is from Jakarta and I believe he knows who all the others are.
There is also g29_chen in Bali, theusername and Klafindo in Jakarta though none of these really post much.
Better late than never in welcoming, you to our club. You do have a tidy looking G-wagen, please post on our site the technical problems you come across when you get around to do you engine conversion. This would be interesting for me if not , a few others on the club.

The missing front propshaft could be a big problem if you are driving. The transfer box oil pump is driven by the front propshaft, you need to put the t/f box in 4wd to ensure that the oil pump is operating or else you could damage your box due to lack of lubrication
