Re: Braced Mirrors.

I guess the thing to do is to feed the EPC with the chassis number of a G which had those mirros OEM and then find out how much they really cost. We all know that Mercedes is expensive but that is really a rip off!

Re: Braced Mirrors.

Didn't someone once point out that those were the same mirrors as on some truck or something and available for a fraction of the cost when bought as such rather than as G mirrors...

Re: Braced Mirrors.

Local stealers this morning:

£100 approx for main arm.
£40 approx for mirror.

Whole deal, with a bit of discount, £150 all in.

nOT A PROBLEM hUS. i'M ASSUMING THE MAJORITY OF THE BITS YOU (Caps, bollox), can see in the diagram are usable from the existing mirror - so the "Boom" may be the only bit needed? Better saving there + I'll normally get 10 or 15% discount. I'll let you know.

And seeing as Marty is in Ireland and the shipping costs ain't exactly free, not to mention time involved; what do you want to bet it will cost you more than going down to your local dealer?

Re: Braced Mirrors.

its 300gd auto, might do a swap around with the 617a from oil,to be honest that's what I actually bought it for!! I was thinking of a musso engine either, sprinter engines arnt cheap for good ones, and then there the inlet manifold to buy, kind of want to do something a bit different though, just going to put it back together for now.

Re: Braced Mirrors.

Ive a set of mach5's for it with 35" maxxis creepy crawlers, have to see what it drives like and how much I use it, might end up putting a set of 33" all terrains on it.

yeah, and I thought for years that I was the only G enthusiast in Ireland!!

Re: Braced Mirrors.

Did we get a price on these parts yet?

I'd love a set of these. I have some on both my VW trucks and they are sooooo much better than the lower braced items.

Not only that you can fit heated mirrors, CB mounts and the like to them.

Re: Braced Mirrors.

Not sure they are adaptable yet, but I will check them out for compatibility.

The mirror heads are readily available 'truck mirrors' you can buy on Ebay which clamp onto a standard diameter tube. It's the brackets that need to be considered.

Anyone got pictures of the proper ones.
