Just had a red MOT notice:

"Offshide front (s/box end) Drag link end ball joint has excessive play"

Which parts do I need, where can I get them, who can do job London area?

Am returning to France Jan 4th, so under time pressure, any help welcome.
THX

Do a search on the forums - its a common failure. But be careful as there are lots of different ends and the EPC will not necessarily list the correct end!

Once you have the correct part any garage can do it but you need to make sure that they have the facilities to align the wheels of a 4x4 - as a lot of garages can only do cars.

I used a place in North London.

Hi I think you will find that the offside ball joint is integral with tube..which means a new drag link assembly is required..the last one I bought from MB was GBP 128+vat

Yes, I notice that. I just ordered three formal shirts from my favourite shirtmaker in Jermyn Street, with prices quoted in sterling. Paid a fraction in EUR of what I would have paid in Madrid. Go figure.
