460 front mudflaps
Anybody now the best way to fit front mud flaps on a 460 or maybe someone knows the part No's for merc flaps and fitting kits

EPC has nothing.
I had the remains of a clamp around the chassis tube behind the wheel that must clamp to the top of the flap. The 463 seems to clamp to the sills witht a very expensive long U clamp (£40 each just for a bit of 3" long U section.. which will hold mud and rust..)
Best way is a clamp around the chassis tube as OEM .. did consider making them from 40mm wide 1.2mm steel as found .. or using 1 or 2 exhaust clamps to do the same thing..
I have a pair of rears with pretty rusty, but still solid ironwork. The rubber is still fine if they are any use to anyone.
Try your Mercedes dealer. Purchased a set for £18 a few yeays ago.They attatch to the sills with two bolts. The original ones attatched to the chassis member tube but the offside was missing whem I purchased the car. Western Mercedes Benz in Coldstream are very helpfull. They do make a differnce - especially as I only wash my G twice a year!!

cheers fellas I wouldn't mind I took some rears of the the trialer g and now cannot find them I might take you up on the offer Chris at least that way the rubber would mach Iam of to the rally at kearby steven with Chris will call in with the mogs on the way past.I still have your No will ring you nearer the time regards Andy
