Hi to everyone again! Sorry for another newbie question again, but by learning we get smarter, don't we?

So, I am planning to pair my 9,5x17 BBS Deltas with Yokohama Geolandar AVS V801. Yes, yes - I know they intend wear out quickly and other bad things, but I would use them mostly for show off and in city-drive.
But my question is: for 17'' they have following options 265/60 R17; 275/60 R17; 285/60 R17; 225/55 R17; 255/50 R17, which of these would fit on 9,5x17 rim?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Pairing rims with tyres

Your better bet is to seek advice from your local trye fitter, they are better qualified and experienced to give advice.

I have read up, on tyre sizes and dimensions, from my understanding, the closest tyre from the choice you have provided is size 225/55R17. You may use 255/50R17, this being 0.7 inches out; the former being 0.5 inches out. In terms, of the actual size, you should be looking at a 235 sized tyre width, if available.

Naturally, your tyre fitter will be able to decide after measuring the width of the rim you intend using. He should be able to advice also as to the aspect ratio of tyre best for you so you do not loose out on the actual diameter of the trye, this will affect the speedo reading.

The speedo can be re calibrated with different gearing. And now you delving into heavy, more of an Engineers field, than a Technicians'. Heavy reading that's way over my head! I now have, an in built safety device which puts me to sleep on any heavy reading.

Re: Pairing rims with tyres

i'm not 100% on this one, but thought i should chime in anyway

the current standard rim for G500 is 7.5" and the standard tyre width is 265

the G55 rims is 9.5" wide, the standard tyre width is 285/55/18

so probably the 285/60/17 being the very close in overall tyre dimension would suit your rim width better
