On Gs specifically? They were available in stock at a local shop, though internet reviews show mixed results, a search on GWOA reveals nothing (no one used them before?) so I thought I'd ask before trying them (on the front of the 300GE).
I was looking for a better known brand (Bosch/Textar/Jurid/Ferodo etc) but this seemed available and cheap. Cheap worries me with brakes.
MB will probably be £100 for a pair..before I ask.

No one did? Got the MB ones, £50+VAT without pins and spring plates. If they last 30k like the old ones they're well worth the price.

Are they MA001 420 14 20? I think I have got the same...

I didn't know other brands would work as well.

Pads are some of the more often-replaced service parts so a lot of companies make them - to what quality, I'm not sure, aside from the main brands.
The part number is in the top left corner, not exactly legible, A6014210608. Try the Bosch ecatalogue, it'll give you a selection of MB numbers:

Different ones might be for different brands (Jurid, Textar, etc). Also don't forget the pins/springs if you want to do a "complete" job.
