It's time to change the transfer case and diff oils again and, although the received wisdom is that redline oils are the best it would cost more than a bankers pension to buy so does anyone have any recommendations.
I do like Millers engine oils and they do a semi synthetic ep75w90 gear oil that is both GL4 and GL5 so should do both jobs?

Too many numbers for a confused blacksmith :?

Re: Transfer case/ Diff oil?

hi dentsmithy,

I did this a while back on my LR and got all the relevant oils on-line at www.difflock.com. They were cheaper there than most places I could find: more to the point, I noticed a much quieter ride as a result. Their top oils are low-friction sythetics, a bit like the Mobil 1 range (except much cheaper!). Lastly, I added some extralube ZX1 to both diffs, gbax and engine oil. The result was about 2-3 mpg better mileage and lower noise.

Good luck/Phileas

I’ve used this stuff

No complaints, high spec. and not rip off silly money.

If you want you can ring their technical dept. and actually talk to a real boffin, weird didn’t think they existed in the UK any more

Oh and they've got 20% off online purchases at the moment
