The pickup just keeps on keeping the grinder away. The wheels don't turn as far as they should, ie the turning circle is a lot bigger than it should be. I can force the steering wheel and it will go a bit further, but something is wrong.

There are no visible blockage or oil leaks and steering feels normal.

Any suggestions?

Hi Christo if you have a bigger radius one way than the other or if there are more turns on the steering wheel one way than the other the pitman arm (the arm that fits on the bottom of the steering box) could be assembled in the wrong place. if the s'box has been over adjusted (large locknut on the top with an allen key centre) it could tighten up at the end of each radius....disconnect the track rod ends at each hub one at a time and observe how much more travel there is on each hub accordingly... there is a steering limiter which can be adjusted......
