Any info on snow tyres appreciated I want to keep them on the original steel wheels, and have been told the narrower the better?when it snows here it snows and the roads can stay packed and iced over for weeks at a time.

Re: snow tyres

Hi Dave,

To be honest I think you will find any brand of "winter grip tyre" up to the mark for what you need allowing for the fact you also have the advantage of a 4x4 when driven sensibly.
The only thing I would caution you on is using a M&S rated tyre (Mud and Snow). These are all things to all people generally but not specifically suited to your conditions.

Stick with a good brand of winter grip only tyres. These will behave better for longer in colder conditions. If you can get the latest patterns so much the better if not then go for the best you can afford for a trouble free winter.

Remember tyres are generally cheaper than headlights if you get my drift!

Regards,

Mike
