Hi from sunny Hertfordshire
Im Tino and I am or should say still are looking for a G...once owned a SWB 300D but unfortunately my off road skills were not as good as I thought,since then had the usual array of 4X4's...but hankering for another try with a G...looked through the E-bay adds and internet etc with no real success ....so thought lets have a look on here where owners may be able to help steer me in the right direction...

try bill moss. he is an active member here and has a fine G350 SWB up for sale i think.
and search the for sales section here, and go back some. you might find something interesting.
LEUU also has a couple he is selling.
and so does maxwell smart, depending on your budget ofcourse.
Hi Tino you miust have a wide budget!!! 94/95 anything G' is in the GBP 10.000/15000 cost bracket whereas ...1987 /90 anything G' from GBP 750....how about an 88 300GD SWB manual IN NEED OF LOVE CARE AND PROTECTION.. mot failure for brake pipes and steering damper delivered to Hertfordshire GBP 1800 great going G' all working just a bit frayed at the edges.....
Can you post a few pics,Im looking at a few on ebay etc but the lack of replies makes me dubious.....
I can either spend 10K on something that will possibly turn out to be a polished turd or do it the hard way....in this case the donor is not so very important..

good luck in your search, I'm also in Hertfordhsire and i purchased my first G last week from Gooch who is a member on here. 1991 lwb 463 & i paid 10k

Im in Hertfordshire - Bovingdon, near Hemel - and just bought a G300 1993 model. I need someone to service it etc. Cant find a specialist. Does anyone know where I should go?

i know a fantastic mercedes mechanic in the chalfont st. peter area, we dont let anyone else touch our cars, even the rr sport goes to him, any use?

Thanks for the info,I will look up bill now.....as for budget ....what I dont tell her will not hurt her!
I dont think I want anything newer than 94/95 but will consider from 87 onwards.
I dont mind work as the nights are drawing in and I have an empty garage to fill,and with my freind Lee of "Chop Shop"fame I would hope we could put together a very nice example by next summer.
