Nice red H red SWB in Houghton Regis (Dunstable) yesterday). Nice sliver J reg in Milton Keynes looking sad being towed behind a recovery serrvice truck.

I never been towed, always moved on a flatbed because of the 4WD system. Is it OK to tow and how would you set up the transmission?

Hi just select "neutral" on both the gear selector and the High-Low range lever.. run the engine if possible for the power steering and vacuum assisted brakes..otherwise it is hard to steer and you need a heavy foot to stop..best towed on a stiff bar....then you only have to steer....

You should not tow a 463 with one axle on the ground. The transfer case will be damaged. It is a differential arrangment inside and it's not designed to handle massive speed differences. Four wheels off the ground or on not a mix.
