Cos that "rebuild" by that G$%^& W"£$%^&* ( the one Chris had the run in with) a couple of year ago is playing up already. As in Flaring?
I should add that I was referred to him by the local Merc (recommended too ) indy
So anyway
I can use McMullans here in Ballymoney ( who are SUPPOSED to be very good) to refurb ( again) or do MB do factory exchange units?
Or who else?
Cheers
M

Re: Factory exchange? or locally rebuild auto box

Hi Marcus,
does anyone know if there is a possibility to do the exchange directly to MB in Germany?
My point is that in any case MB might refurbish the units (engines - transmit ion) better than small local dealers.

I will enquire with Mercedes at Boucher Rd Belfast, though no doubt the cost will have me reeling ( & I'm not even Scottish)
I should be annoyed with myself as when I booked her in with the recommended "expert" I was preturbed by the untidy workshop, & considered going elsewhere, having the notion  that the rebuild of an autobox should be done in kinda surgically clean surrounds.
Doh

I was however swayed by the lovely wee puppy that was there.
Double Doh

I would add that the "rebuild" has only done about 10,000 miles :!:

Hi Marcus what problems are you having??cos if you have done 10.000miles since the "o'haul" there are things that can be looked at before you spend a lot of money changing it ..is it 4 or 5 speed??
