New project !
Well i've finished the pickup/engine conversion and all is running great,would love to upload some photos but not sure how. Now i am on to the next project. Just bought a tired 280 LWB, along with a rear ended sprinter van, so the plan is to fit the engine/box etc from the sprinter into the 280. I have read some threads on here but the links that have been inserted are not working. so if any of you guys can give me some tips on this conversion it would be very much appreciated.
If you run a search (click the button at the top of this screen) using "sprinter" as keyword and "*" [asterisk] as author, you will see plenty of messages where we've chatted about this subject.

heard someone else did engine conversion for you ?. Anyway hope to come up and see you and take some piccys for G Wizz magazine, and nick some ideas on how to stick 560 in mine :wink:
Yes someone else did do the engine conversion for me, but they had never done this particular conversion before, and the same applies to this swap, so any information i can find out on this swap before hand will certainly help him, and as i will be working over xmas with him on this i wanted to find out as much before hand as possible.
Took some photo's last weekend, but they didn't come out too good, will try and post one on here later.

Only managed to get 3 days in on the new project over Christmas, but at least we have been able to strip the doner sprinter, have now been told that the conversion is going to be more difficult than previously thought, as i have bought a 2003 311CDI, which apparently has lots of electronics :?
Anyway too late now as i have bought and stripped it, will hopefully be able to start fitting the engine next week

I have followed your advice but, i am still none the wiser, there are links posted in the threads, but for some reason i can't access these, so basically i am still none the wiser, will probably have to build it by trial and error as i did with my previous project, and find the problems as the project goes on, If anyone is then interested in knowing for future reference what this conversion entails, i will gladly post my finds on here.
