460 3 door paint code
Just off to get some paint for my 460...Does anybody know where the paint code is situated on the vehicle,or know of the colour it is circa 1985 gloss black.

On my early 463, the 4-digit paint code is stamped on the VIN plate on the airbox at the rear of the engine compartment.
Yeah the other one was probably BlauSchwarz, I think your supplier should be able to match it with colour cards on the car.
Glad to be of help. What are you doing - a full respray or some touch-up?
I recently re-did a bumper on my 463 (originally a dark grey 7167 "tiefdunkelgrau") but that colour fades out after a few years so I tried out an "opel"/vauxhall matt black and so far I'm happy with the result.

Hello, I am doing a total respray, as I I have been right through the old Girl cutting all the rust out and replacing it with new metal...Getting it back to where it was when it started out twenty odd years ago...Hopefully it will see me out ...Though saying that I re-built a series 2A Landrover back in the late eighties ,which could do with a look at here and then again ! It`s a job to keep abreast wth deteriation including myself LOL

Good luck with it! Not a task to be undertaken lightly I guess, feel free to ask around here, there are a number of people who have done the same or similar jobs to their Gs so you're in good company :)

thanks M2dxd, I plumped for schwarz at the suppliers out of the two "comercial" MB listings the other one had a load of blue in it...Which does tie up with the charts you left a link to...So thanks for that thats that confirmed !
